This policy explains how Epic Realty ("we," "us," or "our") handles your data. We follow global standards, including the GDPR (Europe), COPPA (USA), and the Data Protection and Privacy Act (Uganda). 

1. Information We Collect 

We collect only what is needed to make real estate transactions safe and easy: 

  • For All Users: Name, email, phone number, and profile photo. 
  • For Property Owners: Property addresses, ownership verification documents, photos/videos of your property, and pricing details. 
  • For Service Providers: Professional licenses, National ID (NIN), and business verification. 
  • Location: We use your GPS location to show you relevant local listings or service providers. 

2. How We Use Your Data 

  • To Facilitate Deals: We show property details to potential renters/buyers and share limited contact info once a connection is made. 
  • Safety & Verification: We verify owners and providers to prevent "fake listings" and scams. 
  • Secure Payments: All payments are handled by certified partners. We do not store your full credit card or bank details. 

3. Trust & Verification 

  • Verification Transparency: To promote a safe marketplace, we display the verification status of every property and service provider. This allows you to see which listings have been vetted by our team. 
  • Moderation: We review listings and monitor chats to stop fraud, harassment, and illegal content. 
  • Property Privacy: Providers and users are strictly forbidden from taking or sharing photos of a property without the owner's explicit consent via the app. 

4. Protecting Children 

Epic Realty's platform is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that an account has been created by a minor, we will promptly delete the account and all associated personal data from our records. 

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion 

You control your information: 

  • Edit or Hide: Owners can update or remove their property listings at any time. 
  • Permanent Deletion: You have the right to be forgotten. You are free to delete your account and all associated data (including property history) through: 
  • In-App: Settings > Account > Delete Account. 
  • Web Request: https://epicrealtylistings.com/delete-account. 
  • Note: We may keep minimal records if required by law for tax or audit purposes. 

6. Global Security 

We use End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) for chats and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to ensure your property and financial data stay private.
